Perhaps this story might be considered an illustration of Hebrews 13:2 (NIV) where sometimes we may “entertain angels without knowing it.”
Austin, a thirteen-year-old Australian boy, got blown into the open sea with his mother and two siblings on an inflatable kayak.
With only a life jacket, which he shortly abandoned because he said it slowed his swimming, he headed for shore to get help. It was two-and-a-half miles.
He made shore at 6:00 pm, four hours after he began – a feat which rescuers described as “superhuman.” Maybe it was?! A search helicopter located and rescued his family two hours later.
