I will be spending the first day of my seventh decade of life (tomorrow) crossing the Atlantic—connecting my new homeland, America, with my motherland, Russia. What a fun and deeply symbolic way to celebrate an anniversary! I will then be teaching for three weeks in Moscow, Rostov Velikiy, Uglich, Rybinsk, and St. Petersburg, staying within a single time-and-climate zone.
As always, some of these places are very familiar, as their schools and universities (Christian and secular) keep inviting me on a regular basis to train a new batch of their students. Some other locations are new, and I am looking forward to establishing new friendships and working relationships with their faculty, administrators, and clergy.
My laptop has survived many trips to Russia—it is now only held together by tape, Velcro®, and by lots and lots of prayer. Please continue supporting me, my family, my travel, and my ministry equipment in your prayers.
