Proclaiming the Gospel with Evidence to All Peoples Everywhere
Beginning in the first century and throughout history to the present day there have been people advocating diverse religious views that all claim to be “Christian.” Some differences are inconsequential but others challenge the central truths of the Christian faith. What truths are nonnegotiable, and how can we know? The apostle Paul taught that if someone comes with a “different Jesus,” a “different Spirit,” or a “different salvation”, it is heresy (2 Corinthians 11:4). I would add a fourth: an authority different than the Bible. This presentation uses these four measurements to examine various groups who claim to be Christian to discern what they have right and what they have wrong. The Biblical attitude toward those who have it wrong is to teach with patience and kindness that they may come to the knowledge of the truth.
