“Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! I know it for a fact now! It is not simply a nice folklore tradition; it is not a myth and not a later Church doctrinal invention but a fact of history. I will be celebrating Easter this year quite differently than I have before. I always considered myself a believer but only now I actually became one—I know what, whom and why I believe. Thank you for bringing your [FaithSearch Discovery] seminar to our class so timely—right before the Pascha celebration!”
A fourth year Journalism student at Moscow State University said this to me as I was hurriedly putting away my laptop, cords and projector. I couldn’t have been happier to hear it!
“I am not so sure about timing,” murmured the security officer who actually came to lock the building. He was very much surprised to find one auditorium still full of students way after all classes were over for the day. My group just didn’t want to let me leave until we finished all ten “discoveries” that evening.
That was on Friday night and early the next morning I was already flying home to Minnesota to celebrate Easter with my family. Thanks to all your prayers I made a very quick transfer in the Paris airport and—what a pleasant surprise!—my luggage made it too!
My head is still slightly spinning but I have to make this adjustment back to normal life quickly and start preparing my presentation for Friends of FaithSearch Benefit Banquet this coming Saturday… Hope to see many of you there and share more from this trip—pictures, stories, testimonies…
