The Pew Research Center recorded a continuous decline of adults in the U.S. who identified as Christians.
In 2007 the percentage was 78% and bottomed out in 2019 at 63%. At the same time those who are religiously unaffiliated, called “nones,” increased from 16% in 2007, and leveled off at 29% in 2020. The percentage of both groups has been relatively stable in the last three to five years. In the most recent polls, a renewed spiritual interest in Jesus has been noted among the Millennials (20s and 30s) and the younger Gen Zs. Furthermore, Bible sales have been increasing. Interestingly, 70% of people believe in an afterlife.
Pray for an expansion of the spiritual revival of faith in Jesus that has been manifested recently on some college campuses.
