A recent archaeology discovery again confirmed the accuracy of the Old Testament historical account.

Excavation in the City of David by the Israel Antiquities Authority and Tel Aviv University uncovered massive charred wooden beams of the First Temple from about 2,600 years ago. The Bible says that the Babylonians besieged Jerusalem and “burned the house of the Lord” (2 Kings 25:8-9).
The charred beams provide evidence of Solomon’s temple (1 Kings 6:1ff.), built about 960 B.C., and its subsequent demise about 586 B.C.
