2025 September-October: Moscow, Vladivostok, Danilov/Tutayev/Rybinsk

October 7, 2025 By Dr. Oleg Voskresensky, Teacher

I just realized that I traveled from the northwestern border of Russia to its southeastern edge—in less than a week! Vyborg lies only about twenty miles from the Finnish border, while Vladivostok sits across the sea from Japan.

This time, I was welcomed by the Catholic Church community in Vladivostok for the Russia’s Far East Regional Continuing Catechism Formation Conference, and also spoke to a group of international students from the Far Eastern Federal University. It truly felt as though I had circled half the globe, with participants in my audience representing nearly every continent, culture, race, language, and background.

2025 Trip to Russia: St. Petersburg, Vyborg, Moscow

September 29, 2025 By Dr. Oleg Voskresensky, Teacher

The road to St. Petersburg took much longer than expected. Each of the connecting legs—two flights and a bus—was delayed anywhere from one to four hours. Thankfully, I was able to return my train ticket and catch a last-minute flight. In God’s perfect timing, I began my first presentation at a youth conference at St. Peter Orthodox Church merely two hours after completing a two-day journey from Minnesota. From then on, each day brought a new group of students in a different setting: the State Pedagogical University, St. Petersburg Bible College, public schools, and more. Each audience presented unique challenges for sharing the Gospel with evidence (also known as “FaithSearch Discovery”), requiring adjustments for age group, educational background, and academic context. I am never bored by teaching the same material, because every group—and every individual—is unique, special, and worthy of my full respect and attention to their personality, interests, and expectations.

2025 September-October: St. Petersburg, Moscow, Vladivostok, Rybinsk

September 21, 2025 By Dr. Oleg Voskresensky, Teacher

Happy New (School) Year! What a joy it is to meet with a fresh classroom of students and to share faith in Christ with their inquisitive minds and hearts!

On this trip, I will be doing that in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Vladivostok, and Rybinsk, covering eight of the eleven time-zones of Russia and all three historical Church traditions – Orthodox, Catholic, and Protestant. Nearly half of my audiences will, however, be non-religious – university students, schoolteachers, and general public. My local ministry partners did a very good job of setting up my events on each day of my three-weeks-long travel – up to three presentations per day! While on the road, I will also continue teaching my regular online apologetics class at Belgorod Seminary (not having to get up at 5 am due to the eight-time-zone difference from Minnesota!) – to my first- and second-year groups of MDiv students.

2025 July-August: Russia, Kyrgyzstan

August 7, 2025 By Dr. Oleg Voskresensky, Teacher

On my first ministry trip to Kyrgyzstan back in May, I was only able to see its true jewel, Ysyk-Köl Lake, from my car window as we were driving along its shore for six hours each way to the town of Karakol. This time I am enjoying four full days of teaching at the Christian Family Camp right on the lake shore and with a gorgeous view of the Tian Shan mountains. My audience is also amazing – over 120 people from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Russia gathered to deepen their faith in Christ and to get trained in sharing it with others.

2025 July-August: Moscow, Mozhaysk, Voronezh, Pereslavl-Zalesskiy

August 1, 2025 By Dr. Oleg Voskresensky, Teacher

Transfiguration Church, 1152 AD

Greetings from Pereslavl-Zalessky, two hours northeast of Moscow! I am spending most of my time here in “promo”, PR and advertising for my future visits in this area. The city is almost as old as Moscow and is known for its Christian culture and education. Apart from visiting its beautiful churches and monasteries on Plescheyevo Lake, I am making contacts with local teachers, priests, pastors, and lay leaders–making arrangements for my events in the fall. The interest is huge! Historically, the city has been somewhat isolated for many years by the railroad from Moscow bypassing it. As the legend has it, some local merchants, fearing the competition, bribed the construction company to plot the railroad away from their markets. In our days, there is a little more flexibility and freedom in public and private schools’ curriculum, and for scheduling what will potentially open doors for our ministry.

What People Are Saying…

FaithSearch Discovery

The "Discovery" presentation [gives] information which totally confronts a skeptics view of what the Bible is and why they disbelieve it. This information is rarely presented in the church today and should be understood by every believer so that they may give an answer to the hope that lies within them.

-TK Pastor Onawa, IA February 22, 2017

What People Are Saying…

FaithSearch International

One of the greatest things about [FaithSearch] International is an experienced, flexible staff who can provide seasoned advice, and can also flex with the needs of the church and the needs of the outreach target audience. The presentation was very popular with our community–in fact we underestimated attendance by half!

–Mark McSweeney Associate pastor of discipleship Fellowship Bible Church (Longview, TX)
