Many people are aware that opposable thumbs are a special characteristic of mammals, especially primates. So imagine the surprise when scientists unearthed a pterosaur (reptile) in northeast China with opposable thumbs. This would enable it to climb trees, hunt for bugs, and do other activities typical of monkeys. They called it a Monkeydactyl.

Old Testament History Confirmed… Again!
The book of Amos begins by identifying a time “two years before the earthquake” (Amos 1:1). The fact that it must have been very notable is demonstrated by the fact that two centuries later, Zechariah compared the devastation that will occur in the last days with the earthquake that occurred during the reign of King Uzziah in the eighth century B.C. (14:5). Evidence from archaeology has now confirmed a swath of destruction more than 125 miles long from Hazor in the north to Tell es-Safi in the south – in the eighth century B.C., just like the Bible records.

Old Testament History Confirmed… Again!
During the period of the divided kingdoms of Israel and Judah, an interesting incident is recorded in 2 Kings 3. Israel king Jehoram asked Judah king Jehoshaphat to join him to put down the rebellion of king Mesha of Moab (highlands east of the Dead Sea). Jehoshaphat was willing but asked an important question, “By what route shall we attack?” (NIV). Jehoram responded, “By way of the Wilderness of Edom” (v. 8).
