2017 January-February Teaching Trip: Moscow, Rostov Velikiy, Borisogleb, Uglich, Rybinsk and St. Petersburg

January 25, 2017 By Dr. Oleg Voskresensky, Teacher

I will be spending the first day of my seventh decade of life (tomorrow) crossing the Atlantic—connecting my new homeland, America, with my motherland, Russia. What a fun and deeply symbolic way to celebrate an anniversary! I will then be teaching for three weeks in Moscow, Rostov Velikiy, Uglich, Rybinsk, and St. Petersburg, staying within a single time-and-climate zone.

As always, some of these places are very familiar, as their schools and universities (Christian and secular) keep inviting me on a regular basis to train a new batch of their students. Some other locations are new, and I am looking forward to establishing new friendships and working relationships with their faculty, administrators, and clergy.

My laptop has survived many trips to Russia—it is now only held together by tape, Velcro®, and by lots and lots of prayer. Please continue supporting me, my family, my travel, and my ministry equipment in your prayers.

Is it True? Is God the Same Person in All Religions?

January 20, 2017 By Adrian Van Vactor

Watch “Amazing Discoveries” #1 on our YouTube channel

Do all the major religions of the world believe in the same God? Watch this episode of “Amazing Discoveries” to see where the evidence leads.

The question of the day is a topic which has been discussed for centuries but in recent times more hotly debated. Why is that? Have you noticed that our society and culture in recent years is moving toward a more global society? If you are less than thirty years old, you may not be aware of this titanic shift which is evolving every day.

Thanks to the advancement of global travel and the Internet, our world is “shrinking” and we are finding out that we are really not much different from people of other cultures and languages. Could it be that our vast human similarities point to a common origin? Perhaps a belief in a common Creator is not too difficult to accept. [Read more…]

Where did this intelligent Being (God) come from?

January 17, 2017 By Dr. Don Bierle

Christians are often challenged about their starting point in origins: “Where did this intelligent Being (God) come from?”

That is not a unique problem for the Christian or any person beginning with God as eternal. The evolutionist has the same problem. Where did the evolutionist’s matter come from? They have to assume it is eternal, or even worse, say that it came into existence at some point from nothing! [Read more…]

The Journey to Amazing Discoveries

The Journey to Amazing Discoveries

When I was a kid information was not easy to find. If you had questions about life issues, you either didn’t want to ask it out loud for fear you’d be seen as unintelligent—or you simply didn’t know where to go to seek for answers.

Times have changed in a big way. Today you don’t have to worry about being curious, nor about having a way to find answers privately. The information universe known as the Internet has given us an “all access pass” to seek knowledge and to quench our thirst for answers to big questions. [Read more…]

What People Are Saying…

FaithSearch Discovery

FaithSearch was a shot in the arm for our congregation. We had a number of people grow in their faith and their understanding of their relationship with God. We have seen an increased interest in Bible study and discipleship programs as a result. We've also seen an increased interest in peoples' willingness and desire to share ... Read more >>
