“…even to the remotest part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)As of 2016, the Bible has been translated into 3,200 languages with active translation taking place in an additional 2,400. It is estimated that about 1,800 more languages still await translation to begin.

Adoption Made More DifficultNew rules on international adoption mean that more children are languishing in orphanages. “The inter-country adoption rate in the United States already has fallen by nearly 80 percent; down from a peak of nearly 23,000 foreign adoptions in 2004, to around 5,000 in fiscal year 2017.”
Can this be acceptable to the Christian community in view of the following biblical admonition? “This is pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father, to visit orphans and widows in their distress…” (James 1:27).

Persecuted Christians in RwandaThe government of Rwanda has closed 6,315 churches and mosques from February through April, 2018. They have mostly targeted Christian congregations, justifying it as building code violations and noise pollution. How difficult it must be for the Christians there to apply Jesus’ teaching to “love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you” (Matthew 5:44)! Pray for these brothers and sisters.

In our flagship FaithSearch Discovery presentation we teach that these three Abrahamic faiths share in common the view that God is both an infinite and a personal being. Does it follow from this that these faiths all worship the same God, each with a different name?
First, the Bible makes it clear that there is only one God: “‘You are my witnesses’ declares the Lord…‘understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, and there will be none after Me’” (Isaiah 43:10). Thus, if Jews and Muslims do not worship the same God, they worship none at all!
Regarding Islam, Allah as revealed in the Koran cannot be the same as Yahweh in the Bible: each has quite different attributes. [Read more…]
