Persecuted Christians in Rwanda

The government of Rwanda has closed 6,315 churches and mosques from February through April, 2018. They have mostly targeted Christian congregations, justifying it as building code violations and noise pollution. How difficult it must be for the Christians there to apply Jesus’ teaching to “love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you” (Matthew 5:44)! Pray for these brothers and sisters.

Scientific Breakthrough?

A geneticist in Iceland announced with exultation, “My understanding is that we have basically eradicated Down syndrome from our society. There is hardly ever a child with Down syndrome in Iceland anymore.”

A breakthrough genetic cure? Hardly! They accomplished it by eugenics–the killing of unwanted babies by abortion. Nearly 100% of pregnant mothers in Iceland carrying a baby with Down syndrome are advised by doctors to choose abortion–and they do. Some other countries are not far behind: 90% in the United Kingdom, and 67% in the United States. [Read more…]
