First, there are some Christians who have a weak view of the inspiration of Scripture as revealed by God. As a result they feel that some of the Bible is legend, has errors, and does not need to be read literally (especially Genesis). These are the people who often take the most interpretational liberties with Genesis, and their origin theories are viewed by others as compromising the doctrine of inspiration and Christian theology. Joe Komarek’s FaithSearch Tenure Ends
By Dr. Don Bierle

The Apostle Paul, without doubt inspired by the Holy Spirit, exhorted believers in Jesus Christ to “do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith” (Galatians 6:10). As President of FaithSearch International, I have observed our ministry supporters doing just that. Let me explain.
Joe Komarek joined the staff of FaithSearch as Executive Director about six years ago. Effective May 31, Joe has stepped down from his position, to pursue ministry elsewhere. We are grateful for his service and pray for his continued ministry effectiveness for God’s glory. Many individuals on his financial and prayer support team have also reached out with additional donations to help Oleg in his ministry to Russia; Mundo to Spanish speakers; Scott to youth; Adrian with Gospel illusion; and me for evangelism across the U.S. We are thankful for their reaching out “for good” with their generosity to us as well.
I hope that during these past few years Joe’s support team has become acquainted with the important ministry of FaithSearch, with our ministry call to “proclaim the Gospel with evidence to all peoples everywhere.” It is also my prayer that they would now consider extending their generosity to FaithSearch by continuing to partner with us in prayer and financial assistance. (This is an option we encourage them to consider even if they continue your support of Joe elsewhere.)
We all rejoice together that this change with Joe is actually resulting in a multiplication of Gospel proclamation. As a result, more people will be brought to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, and more will be discipled to a more God-honoring faith.
Thank you, Joe!
2018 May: Moscow and Siberia
…I continued praying as I ran between the terminals and made it to the registration desk in forty-five minutes—only to hear that they cannot allow me on board because the luggage latch has already been closed and my suitcase was too heavy to qualify for a carry-on. My plane was still at the gate and still boarding but apparently I did not look like somebody they would be willing to bend their rules for. One last prayer and… I am re-booked to the flight that leaves twenty-four hours later. There is no agreement between carriers and once you bought a ticket you are stuck with that one company’s flight schedule. Oh, my dear teachers in Sargatka, I am so sorry but I cannot make it to your conference and the Omsk diocese will have to find somebody in Omsk early in the morning to travel 100 kilometers north to cover for me! How do evolutionists attempt to refute the argument of irreducible complexity?
Evolutionists often assume that the individual components must give the organism some advantage even before all the components come together to begin the beneficial function. No one knows what that advantage might be, but evolutionists have faith that there must be one and that eventually science will discover it.
They believe this because of their commitment to the theory of macroevolution. There is currently no scientific evidence to support the view that individual components without a known function can give the organism some advantage for natural selection to act upon for evolution to occur.
2018 May: In and Around the Southern Urals
Six days all over the Southern Urals have been busy and truly blessed. Each day either started or ended with a two-to-three-hour bus trip to another city or small town where I usually presented two times—one in a church and one in a secular setting.
Geographically the Ural Mountains serve as a border between Asia and Europe and I crossed that line multiple times. I wish their buses would make at least a short stop at the border mark for travelers to make a photo with one foot in one continent and the other in another. It seemed like I was the only one on board who really cared. [Read more…]
