By the Numbers
- 2024: The 100th anniversary of the Indian Citizenship Act (June 2, 1924) which granted birthright citizenship to all Native Americans born in the U.S.
- 574: The number of federally recognized Indian tribes (U.S. Department of the Interior).
- 6,400,000: The number of Americans claiming (in the 2020 census) whole or partial American Indian ancestry.
