One More Race
Kane Tanaka, currently the world’s oldest human at 118, is scheduled to carry the Olympic torch ahead of the Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Understandably, she will do most of her route in a wheelchair but is determined to walk at least part of it.
Appropriately, the family gave her a new pair of sneakers at her last birthday. The title for the oldest person ever to live (not counting Bible characters) belonged to a French woman who lived to 122.
