If Only All Scientists Could Hear the Fish
Probably none of us has ever been serenaded by fish. Everyone knows they can’t sing, right?!
Scientists now know otherwise. Fish songs have been recorded underwater off the coast of Australia. Different fish have different tunes, and especially at dawn and dusk their songs overlap into a chorus.
Scientists now believe that if we could understand these songs we would be able to monitor their health and that of the ecosystem.
We can only pray that if scientists ever do decipher these fish songs, that they would acknowledge what they hear:
“…and let the fish of the sea declare to you…who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this, in whose hand is the life of every living thing” (Job 12:8-10).
